Received undamaged, good packing. It is not rigid as i thought (Cuisinart brand quality) but guess it really doesn't need to be. Not a fan with magnetic plugs. it really is a nice little deep fryer, 1 order of hot wings or jojo's at a time. I followed recommend time and temp, i will be adjusting the time down for my liking. My first cook was outside, winter 20 F degrees, (don't want my house to stink for days) the unit worked great! Now I can have great wings year around.

This is one of those things SOMEone in the family should have, like a brûlée torch or a punch bowl, to be shared when needed. It works well, easy to use, and not difficult to clean after using. If using for non-protein foods, the cooled oil can be very easily strained and returned to the bottle for a few more uses.

The fryer has a problem with the thermostat. If you set it at 350 the oil temperature is actually around 440. This will trip the safety shut off making it very hard to use. I used a digital thermometer and at 275 the oil is actually at 365. I would expect a brand like Cuisinart would have better quality control. Tried to connect customer service and it took them 5 days to correspond.

I love this fryer! I wasn’t sure if it was too big for two people, but it’s really just the right size for French fries made from two medium size Idaho potatoes. Anything smaller would require two batches. It does a perfect job on the fries, crispy and not greasy at all. Most of it goes right in the dishwasher, but you will have to soap up and rinse off the heating element, which does take some patience, but I think it’s well worth it.

I've used maybe 5 times, reset keeps blowing before 350 degrees is reached and can't use again until unit cools down completely. I've had unit replaced under warranty, we'll see how long this one last.
