Great sound, but battery sits too loosely

I have been using these headphones for more than 2 years and have not experienced any of the problems described here by some users. These headphones are comfortable to wear for long periods and they certainly block out a lot of engine noise. The sound is smooth, detailed and focused, with the tightest bass that I have ever heard. However there is one major issue due to poor design of the battery compartment. Most products that use AAA batteries rely on one of the terminals having a small amount of flexibility or springiness so that the battery, once fitted is constantly pressing against both terminals and will not suddenly disconnect if knocked. This is something that has apparently been overlooked by the designers of these headphones, as the battery fits very loosely, with very little pressure against the terminals. I travel on a bus often and whenever the bus hits a bump in the road, the battery disconnects and the sound cuts out. This is extremely annoying.
Pros: Comfortable, tight focused sound
Cons: battery fits loosely

I bought the ANC9s at an airport as when I tried them on their sound quality was so brilliant. However, after enjoying them for one flight, I was plagued with incessant problems with the headphones. First, the noise canceling ability basically stopped working. I explained my problem to customer service and they told me to send them to their HQ in OH, which I did. They then, without informing me, sent the headphones back to me informing me there was no problem. I spoke to the head of customer service explaining that the same problem remained, and he told me to send them in again, at my expense both times. This process took a couple of months. This time after some pushing, they sent me a new pair. The new pair worked fine for about half a month before the left ear phone (the housing for the battery) began crackling all the time making it near impossible to enjoy listening to any kind of music. I haven't even bothered contacting customer service. I would not recommend purchasing ANC9s unless you are looking for a way to make your life significantly worse.
Cons: Poor customer service, plethora of technical problems, short life-span

2 years later using them in the household, between 3 people, also as part of the recording studio collection to use when reviewing music, listening to regular music from smart phone/tablet, gamin on the PC, while gardening, travelling, and where noise cancelling or good quality headphones are required. My only dislike was the short cable included, battery life is great when you use good quality rechargeable batteries, and if you look after them after every use "clean them, and put them away in the provided hard case" then you prolong their life by a so much, cable got caught and came off MANY times from the headphones, and when i plug it back, they work just as good, best part is that when the battery runs out, they can still work "as regular headphones" and therefore they are not useless like some other brands i've had in the past. They do need to be looked after and handled not so rough or thrown around, but that's like anything else , look after them and they will last
Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Good Bass, Great Sound, Lightweight, good accessories package to suite smart phone
Cons: Cord Too Short
I would recommend this to a friend!

After having a pair of Bose quiet comforts I decided to try audio technica. I immediately noticed the noise canceling was sub par and carried a static hiss compared to my nose. Sound quality sounds a bit drowned out without the noise canceling feature on. To top it off my ear cushion liner split after minimal gentle use.
Pros: Comfortable, Good Bass, Lightweight
Cons: Flimsy Construction, Poor Sound, Too Much Ambient Noise

I like the way these headphones work and sound for the majority of the time. I also have the ATH-700Pro headphones and I put these on over those simply because they are more comfortable. I also really like the noise cancelling. After spending a month of travelling including many flights, two of which were 14 hrs. long I could really appreciate the noise cancelling capability. When wearing thicker framed glasses, the memory foam pad does not fit so well around the head, compromising the NC ability. I also noticed that when in turbulent air or in the car there is a rattling/rumbling sound that is pretty disruptive. I am an Audio Technica loyalist with many headphones and a turntable so I have faith in the quality of the product. The rattling/rumbling is a little bit of a disappointment but I will continue to buy their products.
Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Good Bass, Great Sound
Cons: Big on head, Difficult with glasses, Rattling/Rumbling noise

Bought this headphones for noise cancelation. Noise cancelation stopped working after a month of use. Right side always got a annoying rumbling sound. Sound quality is great. Useless headphones though. I would not recommend buying these. One star because it failed at its main purpose. Lot of people having the same issues
Pros: Sound
Cons: Defective, noise cancelation not working, right side rumbling sound
