Well designed utilitatian product. Perfect for me on the job or for travel. Only flaw is the lack of manual button to control funtions or for information on devise, I find that the moving shade from trees blocking the direct sunlight can change the funtions on this divise. I dont need this iten to contunally ask me what language I speak. What I like to hear is what percent of battery is left, not that the battery level is good. It would be very nice if the charging plug prongs folded in for travel packing. This is my second unit, warranty replaced, bluetooth on first unit died. Love this product!!!
Pros: great design., perfect size., great sound for it's size!
Cons: poor charging plug design, charging plug prongs should fold in for traveling., lack of buttons to control funtions.

The battery

I buy this speaker saturday. Everything sonds good, really enjoy my product. Then back home plug it and sunday I was unable to turn on my speaker...Plug it then it works, told me that the battery was in charge...Don't work if unplugged even if I charge it, the red light turn off to let me know that the charge is complete but it don't work

What a great product!

The Phillips SHOQBOX easily caught my eye at my favorite tech store. I liked the design and the concept of a rugged wireless speaker for my iPhone or iPad. Once it was paired to my device (which was very easy to do, by the way) it "shoq'd" me how good it sounded, especially coming from such a small and portable package. Hey--it even talks in multiple languages! The most fun I've had with it is playing a video game on my iPad and using the SHOQBOX as its speaker! What fun!
Pros: portable and solid, sounds great for its size
Cons: using bluetooth will drain your battery sooner

I love this speaker however volume could b louder. Battery status needs to b fixed, it only says battery charged, then battery half way and finally charge anytime then it shuts off. It would be good if it gave a percentage.

Unreliable Quality

When I first purchased this speaker, it performed well and provided exceptional quality for a wide range of lows, mids, and highs. However, as it has collected more use, the sound quality and saturation have progressively gotten worse. At this point, the highs are squeakily loud, and obscure the decent range of mids as well as the washed out lows. I have always be cautious to take good care of the speaker, but it seems to have problems emitting the deep and heavy bass, which causes the music to become quieter, and even the occasional rattling of the frame. I presume that this could only be a defect, because in my long history of portable bluetooth speakers, I have never experienced something like this.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Big Sound Small Package

I was worried it would sound like a tin can. I doesn't. Nice range of highs, mids and bass (which I love). The volume is there as well. You can not go wrong with the product! AAAAA+
