Water under the Deli tray

We have had this model for approximately five year and only in the last four months have ever had any problem with it. We are having the exact issue as TRM3, who wrote their review approximately ten months ago. I am pasting their experience here and going to investigate if there was any recall. Shame for such a nice hard-good that one should be able to expect would last a number of years longer. We are having the exact experience of the below review which I found here while researching if it may be a part issue or recall. MIND BLOWN to find same issue reporte. Wonder what GE has done about it . . .

When I purchased this refrigerator in 2008, in received high praise from consumer reports. Boy, were they wrong! This is a poorly designed refrigerator! I thought the ice maker in the refrigerator would be a good thing and the water would be cold when dispensing. However, the inside back of the fridge keeps freezing, causing water to collect and freeze under the deli tray. The ice continues to freeze up to an inch thick, until water starts to run out of the front of the door. I have had a repair man once, and defrosted it myself another time, and now there is another problem with the water dispenser. I understand why they do not make this model any longer. I do however love the bottom freezer.

Terrible design

Water collects under the deli tray due to blocked drain that is freezing. Banging noise from the icemaker, deli drawer broke twice,. I reufe to even entertain buying another GE appliance---don't even get me started on the dishwasher that I bought.

GE Profile is not really GE...it's another company

Found out that our <10 year old refrigerator was built by someone else under licensing from GE. It is not cooling, freezing up and the ice bin broke years ago. Very dissatisfied and won't buy GE again. We WERE loyal GE appliance purchasers. Not anymore! Still trying to get it fixed and will probably have to replace. Should last longer than 9 years.

Will never purchase another GE product

Built our home in Sept 2008, purchased GE Profile appliances-stove( PT916BM1BB), microwave (PEB2060DM1BB), fridge (PFSF6PKXABB), dishwasher (PDW9200N20BB), gas cooktop (JGP975BEK2BB), washer (WPDH8800J0MG), smart dispense (SPBD880J0MG), dryer (DPVH880EJMG), stove (JB640DN1BB), microwave (PVM2070DM1BB) and dishwasher (GLD4500N10BB)-spending several thousand dollars. The fridge has has 6 repairs, microwave 2 repairs, dishwasher 1 repair, washer 1 repair, smart dispense 1 repair, dryer 1 repair.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

poorly designed icemaker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought an extended service contract and glad I did. The ice maker has failed and been replaced twice - so far. The second time it made ice one day then quit. I am getting ready to have the ice maker replaced for the third time.

Bad Icemaker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ice maker didn't work right from the beginning, but since I seldom use ice I was unaware of the problem until my kids finally said something. By then it's out of warranty and really expensive to repair. I now have ice trays. Very disappointed in
this high cost item. My prev GE fridge was more than 20 yrs
with NO PROBLEMS or SERVICE EVER NEEDED. I just replaced it because we wanted a freezer on the bottom type and more energy efficient model.

We purchased this product based on available reviews and recommendations from friends as part of a kitchen remodel. If we had not purchased the Extended Warranty we would have had to purchase a new unit within the first 3 months.
