The projector was far brighter than I expected. At first, I thought I would need all the lights off to see the screen, but once it reached its peak brightness, the projected screen its self lit up my living room. The projected screen is flat and neat. Each pixel is uniform through out the screen. The 2 inch rear firing speaker looks to be the same as used in some alarm clocks which makes It alright for sound but what it doesn't make in sound definitely makes up in picture color and quality. I love this projector. Ever since I walked into the I-Max, i have been wanting my own gaming theater. with this projector, I finally can.

Great projector... and at a great price

I use this for presentations in public venues. The projection is wide, filling my 5' x 5' screen from just 7 feet away. The brightness and clarity are awesome as well. Making adjustments to the projected images' size and angle are easy and it automatically detects my HDMI cord. While it has a speaker, I recommend against relying on it in anything but a very quiet and cozy environment.

Bright And Sharp

This projector was purchased only to enlarge my art work for viewing. When I attached my IPhone to this unit, and saw the picture on the white block wall for the first time I was very impressed. With 16, 8foot floresent tubes burning 18' above me picture was Bright & sharp. Turn off the lights, and great becomes Awesome! Had no choice but to take a Netflix's break. Speaker is ok. I purchased two HDMI cables to connect to IPhone and Mac Laptop. Great Buy!

VS345 WXGA 3LCD Projector

The projector is small enough and light enough so that it's easy to transport. The images are bright, and the overall image quality is very good for a projector in its price range. Setup is easy, especially when using an HDMI cable. The remote control works well, and the menu system is easy to navigate.
The only small gripe I have is with the sound. If you need sound, you will find that the projector's small, low powered speaker, can't deliver high quality, room filling sound in a classroom size work space.
A custom carrying case would be a useful accessory. Overall, I feel the projector represents a very good value for the money.

Perfect projector for our needs

I bought this projector for our non profit business association to use at our meetings. It's lightweight and very bright. One of the issues we had with our old projector was that in the summer, it was difficult to make the room that we used for our meetings dark enough, and the presentations were hard to see. Nothing has changed about the room, but the Epson projector is so much brighter that it overcomes the shortcomings of the room.
The projector was easy to set up, and having all the different types of input ports ensures that whoever we have for a speaker will be able to plug in their laptop and be off and running in no time.

I got our VS335W for my wife to use for sketching on canvas prior to painting pictures. She is delighted with it. I too expect to use it for a few PowerPoint presentations and possibly for viewing a few ballgames . We have only used this projector for a day, but are quite impressed by its':
-brightness in lighted rooms
-resolution
-the large variety of functions available on the remote
-it's light weight and compact case

Setup and Performance

Connected to MacBook Air with dongle and HDMI cord, external speakers from headphone port on Mac, straight forward and quick. Played slide show from iPhoto, Home movies with Quicktime, movies off an external hard drive, and DVD movie with USB DVD drive attached. Computer's desktop is vivid, and all documents brought up were sharp. Fan was quiet and not a problem. It meets all my needs and expectations. Images were beautiful with all media used.
