Better Fridge than our old fridge

The compreesor on our old fridge gave out after 16 years of reliable service. My wife wanted a side-by-side with water/ice in the door and we found that this 22 cft Whirlpool fit the bill perfectly. Our one limitation was we wanted to match the other 'bone' appliances and again Whirlpool came through. bone is getting very difficult to find and is a hard color to give up as it is very neutral. The only negative was that this model was pricey, but we did not have the luxury of shopping around as we had food we did not want to lose to spoilage.

Great Refrigerator

Within one year had to replace the ice maker. I've found that to be a problem with Whirlpool ice makers from friends and family. That's the only problem I've had.

we needed a frig to fit an exact space in our kitchen and we were thrilled to find this model. it gives us more interior space than other models, and the water and ice dispenser is sleek, lighted, doesn't take up all the freezer space.

I purchased this refrigerator to replace an old Amana which was not cooling properly anymore. The new fridge has exceeded my expectations. It has lots of room and keeps everything at the right temperature. It runs quietly. I never had an ice dispenser before, and find it very handy.

Solid Product Overall, but ...

Bought this refrigerator to replace a very old model in our office workroom. The built-in water filter and in-door water and ice dispensers are a real plus - saves a lot of time running down the hall to the water fountain. However, the design of the in-door dispenser itself could be greatly improved by making it tall enough to accept water bottles and taller cups/glasses. One caveat - the freezer compartment is very narrow so (while it's perfect for office use) I, personally, would not buy it for home use.

I have been very happy with this particular style which is why I bought it again. It has been improved since I last purchased one but there is only one complaint I have about the redesign. The icemaker located in the door instead of the upper shelf makes it difficult to get at the other shelves where I have my refrigerator located. The door cannot be fully opened as it opens against a wall.
