Bought this in December and received it late in the month. Description from ge website stated it had a leak sensor on the bottom. Within three weeks after receiving and using the dishwasher, it started to leak from underneath. It had a leak from the factory and damaged my freshly finished basement ceiling for the leaking machine which did not have a leak sensor.
Good news was it was covered under factory warranty for the machine. Service techs told me this is a common issue with new dishwashers from the factory. Bad news is the warranty didn't cover my basement ceiling.
The machine is quiet, huge benefit; and when it's working, it seems to do a good job cleaning.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Design flaw

While this dishwasher holds a large volume and seems to do a reasonably good job, the door interlock was designed by a chimp. We were able to get about five washes out of it before the latching switch on the door failed. Luckily I was able to shim the switch to keep it working for the four or five weeks it took to get a tech out ( we live way out in the sticks, I guess, in metro Detroit). He replaced it with an identical switch, and advised us to expect it to fail again. Come on, GE!

Quiet machine

I am so far pleased with this dishwasher. It is very quiet while it operates and the size is perfect for a family for four. Does it job pretty neat. Happy with the purchase!

Constantly leaking on my brand new wood floors

The appliances were installed new in my new house as a package. This is the worst dishwasher I have ever used. It leaked since day one and after having a serviceman out four times I have stopped using it. It is a worthless part of my new house.

Has broken twice in three months...

I love how this dishwasher works, but first we had to have the seal repaired because it was leaking all over the floor, and now the "motor is leaking" and has to be replaced....and my hardwood floors are all warped. We've only had this dishwasher for 90 days...completely ridiculous.

When it works, it's great

When the dishwasher works, it's really great. However, we have had multiple problems with it - it leaked, the kickstand warped, and now it won't drain. We have had it for under 6 months. Hopefully, it gets fixed for good this time

Not the best!

I would not recommend as we have a leaking issues, the heating element has gone out and the inside tray is falling apart and it is less than 2 years old.
