This is only second dishwasher I have owned and it is so quiet. My son thought it wasn't running it was so quiet

excellent dishwasher

The only problem we've had is its not draining right when we first got it.
Turned out we had three issues: first, the idiot who installed it (not a GE employee) didn't remove the cap so the dishwasher could drain into the disposal; second, the disposal can't be full of waste if you want the dishwasher to drain well; and finally, we THINK the dishwasher works best with liquid detergent--we used pods and suspect they didn't fully dissolve and gunked up the drain temporarily. There are cheaper dishwashers, for sure, but this one's features made it worth a few extra hundred $$.

I bought this dishwasher because I was afraid my old one was going out. It is so quiet and cleans everything, even baked on food. I as chose this model for the disposer. Not ready to try the filter type units. If you have to rinse everything off what is the point of a dishwasher.

It is good dishwahser, works well. quiet and clean. Only complain about the stainless steel front. It gets so many spots and does not go easily.
