Replacement freezer better than I expected

Purchased a larger freezer when my old one had a compressor issue. This new GE has a warning system to let me know if there is a problem with the temperature of the freezer. Plenty of room and the LED lights are super.

I would give this freezer 5 stars except for the shelves. There is way too much space between the moveable shelves for stacking food. How do you get to the bottom without removing the items on top? I bought 2 stackable shelves to use. Much better.

Freezer features are great

We like the temperature displayed on the outside. Rated with 4 stars instead of 5 because of 2 things. First is that the alarm notification, when the door is left open or temperature drops it is not loud enough to hear, unless you are close to it. Second is that it should come with 2 more shelves, had to purchase 2 more to help on the spacing, otherwise you have to stack your products rather high on 2 of the shelves.

Perfect garage freezer

We outgrew our smaller freezer due to a bountiful garden. This is perfect for frozen fruits & vegetables. I wish it did have a extra shelve, but we added another rectangular shelf- no problemo. It is warm around sides when running so leave 3~4 inch air space. Some may find it loud installed in kitchen when running, but it is in the garage. I like the digital temp gauge on door, interior LED lighting, & locking door. BTW- I couldn't find GE Appliance Polish & Cleaner so I used Jubilee Kitchen Wax to keep exterior shiny.
