Really Loud

I bought this upright freezer about 2 months ago and is placed in the garage. The first thing I noticed when it started is how loud this thing is. I have had freezers in the past and this one is the loudest. Sounds like there is something broken. I asked the installers if this is how it should sound and they said to give it some time to regulate. Well, it has been a couple of months and it still as loud as day one.
We had had some really HOT days and the freezer was able to freeze everything from ice cream to meats until 1.5 weeks ago. Not sure what's going on, but now the ice cream is melting. We haven't changed the temperature or anything else. I am calling GE to see if they can send somebody to take a look.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good freezer

We bought this freezer for our new house. It works very well and keeps the temperature constant. It runs quietly and has a tight seal on the door. We are very happy with it.

I especially like the size since our previous was smaller. Enjoy all the lights when you open the door so as to see more clearly.

We just got this item to replace our older frost GE unit. This freezer is wonderful, the lighting is great. It was easy to set up and the size was perfect. We are very happy with our purchase.
