We bought this microwave back in December, but have had several issues within the first 6 months. I'm sure GE has better models, but this is not one of them.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Problem with vent screen

I was so glad to find this microwave, as it appeared to be the same GE microwave that I previously had. However, the vent covers are not like those in my prior GE microwave. There is no "ledge" to hold them in place and they are much smaller. They do not stay in, especially the one on the left. It falls out if the door is closed, (the door closes on the left side) and sometimes, it just falls out for no reason. I have had the contractor come back to take a look at it, and he said, too, there is not enough support to hold it in place. This last time it fell out and again went behind the stove, I decided to just leave it there, as I cannot keep asking to have my stove pulled out, and it will surely just fall out again, anyways. I am so disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love, Love, Love

I had a hesitation on GE products, but after moving into our new home and it was what the contractors preferred brand. I actually love the brand. Very accurate in heat and clean so nicely. My girlfriend loves GE and so do I!
