love this can

this is a wonderful trash can, i was going to by the motion detector trash can, but this can is so simple, you just step on the foot pedal and it opens and closes so gently that you really don't need the motion detector. we had an old one that would bang the wall and leave marks and dents on wall. this one is perfect and doesn't mark the wall...great company and product!

We’ve replaced our old trash receptacle With a new improved simple solution. The product is well-built with a trash liner receptacle inside to hold the bag. Nice engineering simplehuman

Perfect size for kitchen

Sleek and simple - I think a bigger trash can would be too big for a kitchen. The fingerprint-proof finish makes the trash can easy to keep clean. The lid has an easy way to keep the lid propped open if needed. Great purchase!

Fine but not great

It’s ok, but a little disappointed that the pedal is not “smooth”. When you depress it with your foot it kind of gets stuck, goes over a little resistance point, and then finishes opening the lid.

MY TRASH CAN

HAD MY LAST 38 LITER CAN FOR 10 YRS
CALLED TO SEE ABOUT GETTING A PART AND THEY SAID THEY LONGER HAVE A PART FOR MY CAN BUT WOULD GIVE ME A DEAL ON A NEW ONE WHICH IS JUST LIKE MY OLD ONE. NOW ISN'T THAT STRANGE IF YOU DIDN'T HAVE A PART FOR MINE HOW IN THE WORLD DID YOU MANAGE TO HAVE PARTS TO MAKE THE NEW ONES JUST LIKE MINE WITH THE SAME PARTS.

Part of making improvements between different generations of our products requires new manufacturing processes and the use of new and improved parts that may not be compatible with older versions.
