Nice looking and quiet

We like the looks and the fact that it cleans up easily. The soft closing lid opens and closes virtually silently. We have one with the black plastic lid for our RV and love it but it is discontinued so we got this one with the metal lid. We like it just as much.

Purchased for my mom for Christmas. She absolutely loves it! Was surprised when we opened it up to find trash bags came with it! 100% recommend Simple Human products.

Good but...

The good - neat, easy to use, holds bag well. The bad - the top scratched super easy. Brand new and already scratched on top from just normal wear (we are two adults, no kids or pets). Not sure how it happened but something to be aware of.

Here's to another 13 years!

Beautiful design, easy and reliable function. We are a military family and we bought our first simple human trash can 13 years ago. It weathered 5 moves including two international moves beautifully. The only reason we bought a new kitchen trash can was because a piece of the plastic lid finally broke off which let out occasional smells and let in occasional bugs (no thanks!) My sister-in-law thought I was crazy to spend so much on a trash can 13 years ago but as long as this new can performs as well as the last, I'll be brand loyal when it comes to kitchen trash cans! Thanks for making a durable and good looking product.
