Long lasting, good looking, functions well.

This is our second one, the first lasting 10 years or more. Love how well the bags fit and their strength. Love the slow lid drop. Cleans up easily and looks nice. Take care in cleaning to not leave water spots.

The trash can was exactly as advertised. It looks grat in my kitchen, the bags that you can get to go with it work great and the step lid is wonderful. When it closes it closes quietly and efficiently. I would definetely recommend this trash can to all consumers wanting a high quality and attractive trash can.

Good but...

The good - neat, easy to use, holds bag well. The bad - the top scratched super easy. Brand new and already scratched on top from just normal wear (we are two adults, no kids or pets). Not sure how it happened but something to be aware of.

Unfortunately, the product is not scratch-proof. We always recommend using a soft cloth dampened with warm water and a mild detergent like dish soap to protect the finish. Replacement lids are available here: https://www.simplehuman.com/support/trash/step-cans/rectangular/rectangular/gp-cw1814.
