Stopped Working

We bought this tv when we moved into our condo and it was great up until 1 week ago when the screen was blank, no sound. Called cable first and he said no it was definitely the tv. Bought extended warranty and they are coming next Tuesday but after reading some reviews where the same thing happened to their tv, I'm concerned it can't be fixed. Then what happens? I will update after Tuesday.
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Loved the TV while it worked, then one day the picture went black. Lasted for 6 months past the extended warranty period. The only thing I like about it now is it was light enough for a one-man lift out to the trash.

Worked great while it lasted

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just got home from work n go to turn on my 2 year-old tv to relax before i crash and no picture. Sound is still crystal clear but ZERO picture what so ever. This is ridiculous n i will NOT recomend ANY LG products from this point on

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] TV has been great the almost 4 years we’ve owned it. We must be lucky to have gotten the one we have. No issues with the screen. Kids use it everyday. Watch movies. Play video games. Just about everyday. And we’ve moved 4 times as we bought it, including an overseas move.

Panel FAILED at 13 Months

Awful! I purchased this TV and 13 months later, the panel malfunctioned. Service shop could not repair it. There are others who have reported short panel life for this LG TV. I will not ever purchase an LG TV again.

Sadly Disappointed

This 50" LG purchased 8/14/14 has been replaced by a new LG 55" 4K as of 11/28/15' This was necessary due to a blank screen that was not able to be repaired. Prior to the blank screen issue (a new part wouldn't fix it), we were happy with video/audio and enjoyed the product. I did not hesitate going with another LG; I'm an optimist and expect this new unit to out perform the 50", I realize nothing is perfect and am not complaining, just disappointed. I'm also happy I purchased a protection plan available through the retailer since this TV "died" at 15 months; three months past the manufacturer's warranty.

wonderful TV, 1st HD

After 7 weeks, a pixel line went black; LG replaced the screen quickly and well. Very nice TV; we like the features and picture. Definitely reccomended. I think a very good value.
