Love this Hybrid Range

We remodeled our kitchen and replaced a hybrid cooktop and wall oven with this slide in hybrid range. It is everything and more than I hoped for. I can use any type of pot, pan, etc., with the choice of induction or radiant cooking surfaces. Love the 5th burner "keep warm", love "the bridge" which turns two left burners into one. Oven is great, controls easy to use. Water boils on induction side in so fast it's unbelievable. Cooktop easy to clean; controls in front so no burned hands. LOVE IT!

range that performs

I've been a die hard gas range person my whole life and still can't believe I have an electic range that performs as well if not better. I debated long and hard over purchasing this range and I'm so glad I did.
Reasons I bought this range:
wanted induction
better price point than 100% induction
can still use all my pots and pans
bridge burner
looks (love the clean look and low key stainless finish)
wanted easier clean up
Observations:
range feels very solid
powerplus preheat is really fast
baking performance superb
convection works great
love the induction, instantly responsive turning on and off
cooktop controls operate smoothly with multiple settings
power requirements are 40 minimum, 50 suggested
make sure you get a 50 amp cord, not 40
blower is in the front so you will feel it when on
biggest downside so far: flat top means boil overs can run down cabinet sides.
one question for Frigidaire - what's with the chicken nugget button?

Love it!

Great range! I was leery of buying a full induction stove since I had never cooked with induction before, so this was a great choice. I find myself using the induction side more than the electric side, even from the beginning. The oven cooks evenly and nicely. The only drawback I find is the noise it makes when preheating. It has a loud hum, but it disappears when at temperature. The induction also buzzes depending on the type of cookware I use, but it doesn't stop me from fully appreciating this wonderful ranges capabilities!

This is a wonderful range. I highly recommend it. Convection works well. Love the three oven racks. Induction is awesome and gets up to boiling quickly.

We selected the Frigidaire Induction Hybrid after three months of serious research. It is the replacement for the aging (but formerly excellent) JennAir that was installed in the home we purchased here in Tidewater Virginia. We matched the new Frigidaire Induction Hybrid range with the latest Frigidaire over-the-range Micro Convection unit. A perfect pair. These are a splendid choice for cooks who love seafood, vegetables, and baking. Just do it.

I love my Induction
on July 13, 2013

It took me 3 years of looking at every induction range available in the US to come back to my first preference -- the Frigidaire Slide-in Induction.
I liked it from the first time I saw it because of the knobs and professional appearance. And since we may sell our house someday, I like the appeal to new buyers of the hybrid. Although, I have never used the non-induction burners.
The think I like most about the induction, is the ease of cooking. I can power boost my dried beans until it boils in about 3 minutes, then turn it down to 4.5 and walk away for 2 hours and come back to the perfect pot of cook beans. I can do the same with pasta, no more watching it, just set it and come back. It is the ease of a slow cooker, but FAST. I can do a pot of split pea vegetable soup in about 20 minutes, from start to finish.
I had seen some reviews about the fan that blows air at your tummy, but I hardly notice this. Also, the noise from the induction is less noticeable than the noise a coffee maker makes.

Love the stove

We bought this stove five months ago, to replace a high-end JennAir (conventional electric) that had required several major repairs in the five years we had it. Gas is not a possibility in our home, although it is my first choice for cooking. So we thought we'd give induction a try. The induction burners work amazingly fast for simple things like boiling water, but the best part is that you can control them like a gas burner. Very precise heating. The conventional elements also work well, particularly the one with the "bridge", which I use quite often as not all of my pots work with induction.
The biggest revelation, though: the oven. Huge, three very versatile racks, the bottom one of which self-retracts when you close the oven door (if you set it up correctly). I do know how to cook, and I've always used my ovens extensively, but do read the oven manual. By mixing baking, convection and broiling elements, as suggested in the manual, you can achieve amazing, and fast, results roasting and broiling foods. I'm not a baker, so I can't speak to that.
As mentioned: the induction elements make a slight noise when heating, it's a little strange at first that the oven is vented through the front, but you get used to that very quickly.
Last but not least: easy to clean. This is my third glass top range, we have hard water, and in five months, not one scorch mark. We've only needed a little glass cleaner and water to this date.
