Am into wine and am an investor in a winery in Sonoma County, CA; not just a casual wine person. The height between the racks is not adequate. When I put a chardonnay bottle with 3 3/8" circumference on certain racks the label is scraped off or the bottle is slid to the back of the shelf when pulled open. If a bottle is 1/16" larger in circumference the problem is, of course, worse. So...I removed one shelf and store all the larger circumference bottles on that shelf so they will not scape when the shelf is pulled open. So I lose an entire storage shelf. (reds are stored in a separate wine storage unit so they do not apply). This is a basic design problem and needs attention.
My husband and I purchased the wine fridge in Feb. of 2015. It is stylish and functional. We like the dual zone capability. It keeps the wine at the right temperature. The compressor makes more noise than I anticipated but it's something we are used too now. Wine bottles that are not your typical size don't fit well.
I have shopped around looking for the perfect wince cellar this more then fits the bill, I am able to stock a lot of wine in her, the only suggestion I would make is to create a wider shelf on the bottom to accommodate wider bottles, other then that best purchase ever, loving it......
Pros: Attractive Design, Adjustable Shelving, Precise Temperature, Energy Efficient, Quiet
We bought this wine cellar a month ago and could not be any happier with our purchase. We were warned that some manufacturers models were noisy. This one makes much less sound than the ice maker or the dish washer. I highly recommend this unit. Our only comment is that it only holds 47 bottles.
Incredibly quiet product; great for maintaining temperature. Does not hold thicker bottles (or those with wider base than normal) very well. All in all, a good under-counter unit.
