Overall it works at keeping food chilled with a decent amount of storage. The major issue is the quality of the veg draws. They break easily.......
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great looking refrigerator, lousy durability!

Loved this refrigerator when we bought it - the 35 year old side by side that came with the house died suddenly while we were in school with a new baby at home. This french door stainless steel model fit the space and coordinated with the stainless steel 1950's all electric kitchen (remember those days?) so we couldn't be more pleased. We finally both landed jobs in our fields about the same time the warranty period passed, and we noticed that items in the back of the left crisper drawer were freezing. Then the plastics started breaking (I have purchased 4 new crisper drawers over the past decade). The large shelf bracket assembly broke at one point, fortunately the glass inserts were fine. That was another expensive fix but parts were readily available 6 years ago. I've searched for a repair manual to no avail. I can find parts diagrams and can figure most things out from internet searches but the freezing in the left crisper has me stymied. I can't find anything stuck, so far all parts seem to check out for proper resistance, response to temperature swings, and so forth. But without a comprehensive manual instead of just parts diagrams, it is hard to trouble shoot much. I can clean the condenser coils, I can clear the freezer condensation hose (and I do it every year no whether it needs it or not - don't ask how I first found the thing hidden conveniently in the back behind the freezer back panel), and I've replaced everything except for one door whose hinge is about to give way. I love the French doors, but they have a central piece, a 3" hinged plastic piece that folds into a channel in the center to close the space between the two doors - I've replaced that twice now....yeah, looks great, functions pretty well, but pieces do fail. We've only had food spoil twice - when the center piece (flap) has broken and needs to be replaced. Otherwise it has been doing what it is supposed to do - keep our food from spoiling - but that is all.
I would recommend this to a friend!
