Not worthy of the good looks

After an electrical fire in my kitchen, my 5 year old LG dishwasher had to be replaced - it was the BEST dishwasher, did EVERYTHING well. Stupidly I thought the LDF6920BB was a redesign of my 5 year old model. WRONG! Although features and racks looked the same, this new model does not clean or dry dishes well. Does not hold my dishes upright (same dishes just a new DW), nor does the utensil basket hold my cutlery or attach to the rack well. Also, the bottom rack is not well fitting - it likes to hitch-up and will not roll smoothly. This LDF6920BB is a major disappointment. But hey! Congratulations to LG for making a stunning looking DW, that has little to offer for it's looks. But maybe I'm too harsh - this is the way of the manufacturing world now - to cheapen products so they are good-looking but not really functional, disposable products.
Pros: Style/Design
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought the LG Dishwasher LDF6920BB. It is black an it is beautifully installed under the countertop. It is quiet and efficient. I am pleased with the quality and the comfort it brings to my household. I wish I had done this way before.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality

Owned for almost 4 years. At first, it was great -very quiet and actually cleaned dishes. A year later and continuing today, very loud, leaves soap residue in machine, and doesn't clean dishes. Have to pre-rinse all dishes. Had the motor replaced once already. The repair guy that came 2 months ago was worthless. All he kept saying was to run the hot water in the sink before running and to use powder detergent. The repairman that replaced the motor previously said he's seen lots of problems with this machine. Very disappointed in LG on this one. Cost is ridiculously high for the quality. Glad I bought an extended warranty on this one.

Wisper quiet, cleans well

Saw some other reviews that said this does not clean or work well. Works great for me, quiet and dishes come out spotless. I have not tried putting in dishes covered with food though, usually rinse off everything first.
Only con is that it does take almost 2 hours to wash and dry.

This dishwasher has been everything it claimed. Sleek look, very quiet and dishes come out spotless and immaculate. Highly recommend this product.
