The nano receiver plugs into the USB port and really is plug and forget! I never have to take it out. The nano receiver sticks out about a quarter inch. I just put the notebook into the neoprene case and store in the carrying case. This mouse replaced another Logitech laser mouse that had a receiver that stuck out... it was always getting in the way, plus I was always afraid it would break off in the port. It finally just didn't work anymore. I recommend this to anyone who wants a wireless laser mouse. The small size mouse is more comfortable to use.

If you just need a wireless mouse, this is the rodent for you. I have been using this mouse for about 9 months. It's on 24 hours a day, and I've only just now had to replace the batteries. My old wireless mouse went through batteries every 3 months. I particularly like the tilt-wheel function. I have very limited mobility in my arms, so I set the left and right tilt-wheel operations to my most frequently used, the browser "back" function, and the enter key. Its reception range is excellent as well.

Everything about the Logitech V450 Nano Cordless Laser Mouse excites me.It is so smooth and sleek in my hand. The fact that the "Plug and forget" nano receiver is small enough to stay plugged into my mini makes life so much easier. I shopped and compared and ordered it from HP. Great choice!
