Really like this fridge but for one design flaw

I love the bottom drawer freezer. The capacity of the freezer and refrigerator is huge. I was able to air dry two 14# turkeys side by side on the top shelf despite the 33" width. Much more functional than my previous side by side fridge/freezer. My major complaint is the ice maker. As one other reviewer noted, the ice compartment has low sides, particularly in the back so ice cubes are constantly falling out the back BEHIND the drawer. Sometimes they come out the door to the floor in front of the refrigerator and you can retrieve them, sometimes they fall to the bottom of the freezer case and are difficult to retrieve. Yesterday I was on my hands and knees with a stick trying to get the ice cubes out so they wouldn't build up. I have to manually turn the ice maker on and off because the lever to automatically turn it off would allow too much ice into the bin and there would be even more ice cubes falling in hard to reach places. This is a design flaw that should be corrected in future models! It also has an intermittent noise. I had a technician come out before the warrant was up to make sure the refrigerated was working properly and he told me it was the freon (which I tend to doubt). Anyway I do like this refrigerator but am somewhat regretting my switch to stainless steel appliances because they always look smudged.

Purchased this unit 1 month ago. Really do like having the freezer on the bottom. Really do like the room and lay out of the top refrigerator. It is a quiet unit compared to my 18 year old refrigerator it replaced. I am REALLY pleased the the ice maker. I like the shape of the ice cubes and the amount of ice storage.

I waited a long time before I decided to get a new fridge. Talked to alot of people and decided on the LG. Fridge has plenty of shelf storage and in the door storage. Love the freezer on the bottom, no more bending down to get into the crispers. My fridge is very quiet and hav had no problems as of yet. I had my other fridge for 18 yrs with no problems so I hope to get the same service with this new one.

I have been very happy with this refrigerator. I researched the product and read the reviews before I purchased. It fit nicely in my kitchen and I have no problem at all with the sound of the ice maker, which by the way makes an abundance of ice. It is roomy and bright. I love it.

Very pleased with the space in a smaller sized unit which fits perfectly into our kitchen. Completely satisfied with the style, performance and space of the product. Easy to clean and rearrange shelving. Best refrigerator we have ever owned. Excellent performance, wonderful style.

I have had this refrigerator for a little over a month. So far, I really like it. The bottom freezer is very convenient. The shelves on the door are very handy and versatile. Runs quietly. I'm very pleased so far.

HIgh quality at a fair price

We're very please with our new refrigerator. We didn't need a lot of exotic features and got exactly what we were looking for at a reasonable price. Anyone with similar requirements would be very satisfied with this appliance. The instructions for changing the hinges to the opposite side could be improved but that's the only problem we've had, and a minor one at that.
