Overall very good refrigerator value.

Replaced appliances in kitchen. Investigated this model because my wife wanted stainless steel with a bottom freezer - and this model fit the space that the old fridge was in.
It has performed very well in terms of keeping a consistent temperature in the fridge. The door alarm is a nice feature, especially when you have a couple of toddlers around who like to open the door several times a day. The refrigerator is very spacious for it's size and the adjustable shelving makes fitting in odd sized containers much easier.
The controls are very convenient right up front - not that I have had to adjust them since initial setup. The noise level is low and I like it's low energy consumption.
The bottom freezer is very good, on the whole - in terms of access and consistent temperature. It also seems very spacious vs the refrigerator it replaced. I had read somewhere that frost was a problem. I have experienced this - a layer of frost develops on items in the freezer. It hasn't really been a problem, as such, just makes the freezer seem less than perfect. The ice-maker works fine and produces plenty of ice. Because I'm over 6', it feels like I have to bend down quite a bit to retrieve the ice. But, that is really not a big deal.
Overall, this is a very good, quality product, quiet, efficient, stylish looking and gets the job done.

Cons: tricky/difficult to switch door/handle around

Fit the space available

Nice looking unit, runs quiet with good lighting and easy to adjust shelves. Manual says vacuum coils monthly. They are in the rear, behind a grill that it says you're not supposed to remove.
Center support for Crisper drawers is not tall enough, so shelf sags and drawers do not align well.
Ice Bin is hard to manage when full, hard to get to, and tends to slide out and fall to floor. Plan on fitting drawer slides to help fix this problem.
For some unknown reason freezer door has device that stops it from swinging shut on its own. Fixed by unscrewing and throwing away nylon bumper.

Awesome Fridge

This fridge is awesome. I live 30 miles out of town in a small Alaska community. We only get to town once a week. This fridge keeps my vegetables fresher, alot longer. I am very impressed. I think it has to do with how they are vented. Also my electric bill dropped $50.00. Electricity in my area is 32 cents a Kilowatt, so I need energy efficient appliances. I love having the freezer on the bottom. This fridge is spacious and works well. The drawers on top of the fridge work really well. I use them a lot and now I don't have to bend over to get into them. I have had this fridge about nine month and I just love it.

Love this fridge

Never had a fridge that kept things universally fresh throughout. The freezer works so efficiently its as if it flash freezes fresh meat. This is an awesome product.

Love the bottom freezer

I've hated my side by side refrigerators for years and longed to go back to a bottom freezer (had one I loved in the 1960s). I absolutely love being able to see what is in the freezer again! This refrigerator is very stylish and the compartments are well organized. I thought I would really miss not having my ice and water in the door, but amazingly the ice is so easy to reach I haven't given it a second thought. Kudos to LG for a great design, hopefully their reliability matches their design. (I've only had my refrigerator six weeks so that is still to be determined.)

Is it possible to fall in love with a major appliance? Love, love, love this refrigerator! The first one we've ever owned and we are so happy with it. First of all, it looks beautiful. Secondly, there is so much room in it! My family and I would definitely recommend this to a friend!
