When the player is working its great I had mine for just under 2 years had to send it in for repair disk tray wouldn't open at startup had to repeatedly hit open button to get tray to open. Yamaha fixed it under warranty but as I Wright this review it's doing same thing only 3 or 4 months after they fixed it. Obviously there's a design flaw with this model,too bad because I love it when its operating properly. I would recommend buying a different brand or model player.

I have the same problem with my unit. It's about 3 years old with little use. Another reviewer (Terry) wrote ... Also, the lettering on the remote is incredibly tiny. I read a review that mentioned that just before I bought my unit but it did not register at the time. I need magnifying glasses whenever I use the remote. Also, the USB input works well with Apple phones but nothing else. I got around it by buying a wi-fi adapter. That is another story. The Yamaha CD player is a real letdown.
