The box came in with water damage, safe seems ok. The handle does not seem to catch the mechanism properly and we need to play with it to open the safe. This is the same reason we tossed the old one, but we thought it was us. It may be a lack of attention to choosing quality parts and monitoring the assembly process with tight tolerances. We will see if it gets worse or "heals" up.

We did weeks of research before purchasing our Senty Safe. Because of its fire and water rating, we went with this safe. It’s not a heavy safe, so we planned on securing it to the wall with the provided bolt kit, however after we received it we saw in the instructions that if we use the kit the water warranty is void. We probably would have gone with a heavier safe if we had known that before purchase - this was not stated in any written material we found in our research.

This was a replacement for another safe. Opted to choose a traditional dial combination lock; electronic/keypad system failed on the other safe, making it a giant doorstop.
The lock system is easy to use; the addition of a key to supplement the combination was a nice feature.
The construction of the safe is very solid with heavy grade materials. The interior is vary spacious and with additional trays (purchased separately), organizing items is simple.
The UL rating for the safe was good enough for my needs, with the hope that it never needs to be tested.
Overall, the size, price, and quality of components made the decision easy.

We bought this safe to replace a smaller Sentry model we have had for some time. The safe fits perfectly in the space we chose for it. I haven't finished putting items in yet, but it is obviously big enough to hold what I have now with some room to spare. Looking forward to it lasting a long time.
