Strong and Solid, Slightly Concerned

Safe is strong and solid, however the combination lock seems lower quality and I am a bit concerned. The combination lock seems like it is plastic, and I wonder how it will hold up in a fire and or over time. I haven't had the safe very long and have not experienced any problem as of yet. The capacity of the safe is larger than I expected. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase.

i did not realize that i have to vent the safe every two weeks and buy or cook packets to prevent humidity build-up. our plan was to store documents and jewelry in the safe, but it appears that i will need to seal all my documents and jewelry in waterproof zip lock bags. the safe comes with a nice file storage bin, but instead of just putting files into the bin i will have to put each file in a plastic bag.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
