I love my first safe, so when it became too small I bought the big brother. I love the dial with key backup, because it can't be broken into in less than five seconds, just using a magnet, like the digital lock models.

I’m very pleased with the overall quality. As a child I was enamored with my Grandfathers safe and have wanted one like it ever since. The exterior of this one feels as rugged as a tank but I was slightly disappointed with the plastic interior. I suppose if it weren’t plastic inside the safe would weigh a ton. If I had been able to see the safe before purchasing I probably would’ve upgraded a level or two to have a better quality interior.

I just purchased two safes and they were out on the porch for a few weeks in the original shipping containers with the average temperature around freezing. Once unpacked neither one could be opened as the handles would not turn or if you forced them they would buckle. Then the combination dial jammed. I called tech support and they could not help me and suggested replacing them. I put them inside the house and once they warmed up they worked perfectly. I suspect the lubricant froze or was so stiff it made the mechanism unusable. Please look into this as the safes will not open unless warm. There is NO warning about this in any literature and tech support is not aware of this problem. Alex
