Expectations Exceeded

My Epson XP-410 Printer has genuinely surprised me and exceeded my expectations. It was easy to set-up and has a clear display window for whatever function I want to perform. And most of all it produces clear copies quickly. Epson is on the top of my list of copier products I would recommend to friends.

Had no idea how to install off the net

I needed to get it done today, didn't buy the extra cable and I don't have a CD drive. It does not matter. You can just download the software and away you go. There were no problems whatsoever, until I got to Registration, but even then the problems were minimal, when I compare against all of the horrible alternatives.

Outrageous Ink prices
on October 26, 2014

I bought this because of the limited space I have for a printer. The ink cartridge prices are unbelievable. Two black will cost the same as the printer. I will be ordering from other ink cartridge suppliers. I have another Epson that I spent a lot of time unclogging. I ordered from another supplier, and their cartridges work just fine.

Worst Printer Ever
on November 28, 2014

This is the worst printer I've ever had to use. It worked okay in the beginning, but took a turn for the worst when it needed its first ink replacement. It would print blank pages but after doing the required maintenance, the best I could get was bold white bands across the documents. I did the required steps, and now it cannot recognize the ink and tells me that I need to replace ink cartridges when they are brand new. This printer was a waste of money, and turned me off of all Epson products.

Love this printer for home use. Printer was easy to setup and configure. I set mine up as wireless. The shortcut setup instruction sheet wasn't that great because it was just pictures, but when I took my time and studied the pictures, it ended up working out fine. Setup was easy and quick (completed within 20 minutes which includes unpacking the product). Drivers were easy to install and included laptops on Windows 7, Windows 8, and iPhones. Love, love, love that I can print from my iPhone. Only had this since Christmas, but have not had any issues with it yet. Will see how the printer cartridges last.

Epson XP 410 More bank for the Buck

Liked my new Epson XP410. Found out that when my black ink cartridge was empty it gave me the option to blend the other colors to produce an almost all black document. It worked great.

The printer was not difficult to set up, however, we have had difficulty keeping the printer connected to our wireless network.
I am not a great fan of using the arrows and different buttons to operate the printer. It works well, but I think it could be simplified and not require the information and ok button and scroll arrows as well.
It prints quickly, however, when it would not work we were told the ink that came with the printer is for initialization only and that using it to print clogged the print heads. I had cleaned the heads twice before calling tech support. This wasted most of a new ink cartridge, which already does not last very long. There are no instructions to suggest that you should replace the initialization inks immediately.
