Happy Install Experience

Pros: Includes quick install instructions, an easy to read instruction manual, and installation disk. Although instructions recommended using a USB cable to set up the printer to the computer, I went for the wireless install and it worked perfectly...no hassles.
I've only printed a test page, so I have no experience using any other features, yet.
Cons: I am NO computer genius! I liked the pictures, but did get a bit confused with a couple of the diagrams...one being the picture of the paper sizing guide didn't really look the same to me. Also, I couldn't really tell what to do with the first picture showing the ink cartridges...mainly because I've never heard of shaking them before. I hope that is what that picture was describing.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Noisy and Slow

This printer is noisy and slow and the scanner bed will not accomodate anything other than sheets of paper (the lid isn't hinged to accept a book, for example.) It's an inexpensive printer so for infrequent printing it's ok.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice weight and size; hook up fairly easy; print quality good. Print screen is hard to understand and I still can't figure out how to print from My Documents but it's easy from AOL.

Review EPSON 410

This printer was easy to setup as wireless printer. My granddaughter and I did it by ourselves. Unpacking instructions were clear and printer was up and running on network in less than an hour.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Relatedly easy installation;used the UBC cable option and then the wireless connection feature.
Have scanned, copied and printed a few items w/o any problem.

Epson Expression Home XP-410

We purchased the Epson 410 a week ago. It took some getting used to the operation, since it was slightly different for our old Epson Stylus 6600. It is about half the size of our old printer and so much quieter. The set up went relatively easy , except for one part in the directions that was not to clear, but after looking at the photos provided with the written instructions, we figured it out. I found to print out anything I have to pull down on the file feature and hit print; it cannot be done from the printer's home box on the printer as was true with my older Epson. The was an easily done adjustment to my memory process. Trial and error for good copying had to be done, since the placement on the Epson 410 copy function is slightly different - now I have to remember to place anything to be copied not at the upper left but the upper right to obtain perfect copies. I am still in the process of learning how to use the scan and print photo options on the 410. So far I am very pleased with our purchase of the 410.
