Worst Printer Ever

This is the worst printer I have ever owned. And I've always been Epson thru-and-thru. I've owned Epson Stylus Photo Pro printers for the last 15 years or so, but since I wasn't doing large-format prints anymore, I decided to just pick up this small-in-one. It's been a nightmare ever since I bought it. Print quality is horrible. And EVERY time I try to use it, even if it's only been a few days since the last time I printed on it. The print heads are out of alignment. So every single time I need to print, I have to go through the process of (sometimes having to clean the nozzles first as well) taking several minutes to re-align. It's been horribly inconvenient. Part of me wants to just switch back up to another new large-format printer. But I'm debating whether this one cheap piece of garbage has turned me off from Epson for good.

Think twice

Initially, I loved my printer especially as I could sue print. However, it has been dis functional since I changed the ink. I've tried all methods to get the printer to recognize the epson cartridges purchased to no avail. So it has ended up as a useless relic in my small office. Contemplating what next to purchase as this was a small investment.

Disappointed

I had another Epson printer that I had to get rid of because there would be ink smudges on the back of my photos. So I got this new one and for about a year, everything was fine. But now that same old problem has started to happen again. I'm afraid I'm going to need another new printer soon and it won't be another Epson.

Every time before printing a document, I have to do a nozzle check, head cleaning, and/or print head alignment to ensure that my document is clearly printed. This process is annoying and consuming a lot of ink. The Epson ink is expensive. It costs about 50 cents to print a single page of document.

If I go more than a couple of days without printing something, the product comes out smeared and I have to run the program to clean the brush heads and then re-print. Horribly inconvenient when I'm trying to print something in a hurry!

Worst experience with a printer

Have had the thing for 6 months, all it does now is print blank pages. Went through ink like crazy, replaced the cartridges multiple times and after a month or two of printing (I maybe printed something 4-5 times a month) - it no longer prints. Just blank page after blank page. I ran all of the tests, replaced the cartridges AGAIN and still nothing. Such a waste. As if I didn't have enough stuff to buy at the beginning of the semester, I am now adding a new printer to the list. So stupid!
