Poor installation instructions

I have spent hours trying to get my iPad connected to my new printer! I am still not able to print from my iPad, but I can send a scanned document to my iPad. I have been at it for so long that I am thoroughly frustrated! Please put some instructions in it! The only instructions were for my laptop and that was relatively easy. I am usually quite computer savy, but this is ridiculous!
I gave it 2 stars because I have been unable to use it for what I want to!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

ink cartridges

the four cartridges supplied with the unit are set up in a way that you have to remove small pieces of protective tape. the details are a bit vague but readable but what is not is the ability to actually remove the small pieces of tape that are covering the ink jet outputs. the pieces of tape are extremely small and have no room to hold on to and pull to the side to remove. they are also stuck way to securely so that they have to be removed with a small razor blade and i am surprised the ink jets actually worked. maybe they were older and dried harder than it should be. i hope replacements are not that way, otherwise printer seems to be a good printer and i would have rated it much better.

wont work with any other ink than Epson

I like my XP310 but I find it is of questionable integrity (if not legality!) that one MUST use Epson Ink. In all my many past printers (except my Epson 410) I could save lots of money by buying unbranded ink.
No wonder the printer is so cheap.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Cloud Printing not easy to set up!

Works very well except I still havent figured out how to print from my daughter's Google Chromebook. Apparently you are suppose to be able to set up printing in the "cloud" since the Chromebook doesnt have a CD drive but have tried several times and still cant figure it out.

Very simple to use

It was so easy, I tried to make it hard it went straight to wireless mode on its own after I mistakenly installed it with USB cord upon recommendation of instructions, This could be made a little clearer
