Poor quality door handle.

The door handle is attached to the door via a very thin plastic strap which in time under normal use it cracks,severs and then falls off in your hands; unrepairable, the handle needs to be replaced. The handle on our new freezer only lasted about four years and this is an unacceptable further expense.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Door handle will eventually break

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our door handle recently broke too. It amazes me that they design the most frequently used, most high-stress component out of such a thin piece of plastic. Anyone looking at the handle can tell it's only a matter of time before it will break. It should be designed with a more durable handle.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great customer service

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this about 4 months ago and had a problem with the ice maker. It would make very loud noises call the Frigidaire folks and they send a repair person out and fixed the problem no questions asked.

This freezer is big enough to store plenty of Meat, Ice cream, Turkey's and whole bunch more. I thought at first it was to big, I was wrong its perfect, we can shop more meats on sale and keep them for months. The motor is quiet and works like a charm. you hardly know its on. We are happy with it and only sorry we did not buy one sooner

Good Freezer

We have had this freezer for just over one year and as of this time, it is a good freezer. It is convenient and keeps the foods frozen. I only wish it were larger. It replaced a freezer that was about 40 years old, and I am so glad I don't have to defrost it. This isn't a frost free freezer, but the seal is so good that it doesn't get any frost.

It runs so quietly, efficiently and it freezes great! Love the ice cream door, the basket that I pull out where I store breads, the room inside. The little plastic or rubber thing on top where I place my finger to open the door is ingenious! I believe I have the FFU21MHWJ which is 20.6 cu. ft. I am very happy that I chose this particular model. And, I didn't realize how outdated my old freezer was.

Great Freezer

It's the biggest freezer that was a manual clean model that we could find and it's backed by Frigidaire. Reasonably priced and we liked it's power consumption numbers. I would have given it 5 stars but it lacks an adjustable shelf that we were looking for. Not really that big of a deal since the door provides quite a few storage options. We are very pleased with our new freezer.
