I needed to find a replacement freezer ASAP as our old chest freezer quit and it was full of food. I found this freezer at a great price and love how accessible my stuff is now. I am not getting any younger and am kind of short, so not having to almost climb into the freezer to get something is great. I love that smaller things can be stored in the door (frozen juice) and I can organize my meat, vegetables,baking and misc by shelf. I am always short of time and this freezer helps me find what I need quicker so I can get going.
I would recommend this to a friend!

THIS FREEZER IS GREAT. I ORIGINALLY ORDERED A FROST FREE ENERGY STAR MODEL. IT LOOKED NICE BUT THE COMPRESSOR WAS TOO NOISY AND CYCLED ON EVERY 45 MINUTES. AFTER A WEEK OF THE HORRIBLE NOISE I CHOOSE THIS MODEL DESPITE MY WIFE'S WARNING THAT I WILL BE MANUALLY DEFROSTING WHEN THE TIME COMES. IT'S WORTH THE INCONVENIENCE BECAUSE THE NOISE WAS DRIVING ME CRAZY. IF YOU WANT TO PLACE THIS FREEZER IN YOUR LIVING SPACE THEN YOU WILL APPRECIATE THIS QUIET UNIT WITH LOTS OF STORAGE SPACE. I'M HAPPY.

We feed our 2 large dogs raw and our old little chest freezer was a huge pain. I would be inside with my feet up in the air to get to anything & everything had to be taken out and replaced each time!!
This huge, WELL LIT freezer is such a treat, never thought I'd own one. The price was low and we were told that by buying the cheaper manual defrost, our meat would stay at a consistant temp. as opposed to the frost free ones that will regularly dip in temp in order to defrost.
Could not be happier.....

Love the freezer

This freezer is much easier to deal with than our former coffin style freezer. Love all the compartments for bread and vegetables. Things are much more overseeable, and can be organized much better. No more diving into the food at the bottom of the freezer. I also love the way the door closes.

Freezer is only a few months old, but so far it works beautifully and we have had no problems with it. It is the same as the last one we had which we left with the house when we moved and was still working perfectly after 5 years..

Disappointed

I am quite disappointed in the amount of ice/snow that has formed on each shelf of the freezer. The salesperson who sold the freezer to me insisted that it would take a long time for ice to for...wrong he was. I've only had the freezer for 4 months and now how to go through the tedious task of defrosting it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
