FLIMSY SHELVES

One reason for buying a Frigidaire is because they're made in America. I also knew they had a LONG history of dependability. I bought this full, upright freezer and a total refrigerator in the matching style. They are kept in my garage. I was SHOCKED when I tugged at the vertical retention bar on the door shelves. It (they) are made of CHEAP, FLIMSY PLASTIC, and BOW seriously! I've only had these appliances for 3 months but am waiting for one of these bars to snap or pull out of the doors and end up with a bunch of broken containers on the garage floor! Examine the interior of the Frigidaire freezers and refrigerators before you buy one!

Compared to my Kitchenaid side by side this freezer is amazing.
I been able to designate shelves for my vegetarian foods, frozen vegetables, frozen fruit, meats for my pets and still have a shelf to freeze breads.
I use the doors for miscellaneous items. I love how easy it is to put things away, keep it tidy and the items are easy to find when you need them. Prior to having this freezer it was a nightmare.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Nice freezer!

I give quality 4 stars because as my husband was setting it up out of the box it leaned slightly to the side and busted a piece of the bottom front right off. We bought this a few months ago to store half of a cow. We have more than enough room for that and a lot of other items. Works great and isn't too expensive to run.

The freezer works great. It's not terribly attractive, but what freezer is? However, quality is an issue - we had to replace the small control panel on the door (under warranty). We were told by the technician that it's a common problem, and that Frigidaire keeps hundreds of them in stock. What's going to happen when the warranty is up?
