rechargeable batteries??

Like everything except that I just decided to use rechargeable batteries (Energizer NiMH 1300) but the unit doesn't work with these batteries. Disappointed! Would appreciate suggestions to make this work with rechargeables. Where I use this is not near a plug, either!

I just bought this product and I think it is a wonderful product. My cd player s out in my Tahoe and i am able to hook this up in my truck to play cd's. Wonderful product.
