Amazing picture with good to excellent source when viewed straight on. Contrast and color washes out when more than about 20 degrees off axis from straight on and Auto Motion Plus fouls up sometimes with poorer feeds. It can produce judder, a red blurry ghost next to slow moving objects, and sometimes really bad background movement in panning scenery. Because of this it would be better if the remote allowed you to turn AMP on and off more easily. With good feeds, Auto Motion Plus is great and can dramatically enhance realism and clarty to the point of approaching 3D and looking so real you may think the actors can see you watching them.
After doing tons of homework and weighing functionality against affordability, we finally decided upon this TV. It is absolutely spectacular in what it is designed to do. Obviously you get what you pay for. In this economy our family does not go out as much (to movies, etc) so we justified buying this huge TV. It was not a bad decision by any means, we really enjoy watching it. In fact, I can't believe we were ever content to watch anything else. Once you've seen a movie on this thing in 120 hz auto motion and all the other jargon, there is NO going back. That said, there are a couple of things that are somewhat annoying (as I said before, you get what you pay for), this TV, being LED edge lit, has problems with keeping up with fast action, especially in dark areas. There is ghosting that is almost distracting. Also, because the TV is not full array (a term I completely understand now) you get untrue and uneven blacks resulting in ghosting. Interestingly, when you watch an actors eyes in a dark scene in "smooth" mode, their eyes seems to move independant from the rest of their head. Difficult to explain, you have to see it - bottom line is it is distracting. Fortunately you can fine tune the auto motion and that problem goes away. Another annoying factor is that the ethernet connection would have you believe that it is all ready to hook up to the internet - or at very least be able to stream from a video server via ethernet. No, it does not. Apparently the only reason for the ethernet connection's existence is merely to download upgrades via internet. Who cares about that?! That's not a feature! That's like a car cigarette lighter with gold filament. Fortunately you can purchase media players that do this kind of thing and use the TV for what it is designed for - awesome movie viewing for the entire family. Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase.
Cons: no internet ability at all other than sw upgrade
I would recommend this to a friend!

This 55" TV replaces our 2008 46" TV, which we passed on to my daughter. We bought it because we wanted a SMARTTV that was slim and had a bigger screen. I still have some fine-tuning to do, but that is a relatively consideration overall. In other words, So far so good -- but then I expected nothing less from a Samsung product.
Wow! This thing is great. Not only is the picture so vibrant that some movies look almost 3D, I can also surf the internet on it. I only wish I could attach subwoofer to it without having to use a soundbar too. Overall, I am very pleased and look forward to watching it. Worth every penny!
After looking at most of the TVs on the market in my price range I am glad I got the Samsung 6300. Absolutely no complaints with the TV. I am thinking about a sound bar, or something, but I already have a surround sound system that I have not hooked up yet. I would have to leave my receiver on all the time and I don't like to do that. Being as many sound bars as there are TVs makes that decision difficult. Love the TV!
Unit has an outstanding picture, and the remote is very easy to use. Only con is that is has no RCA jacks for older non HD devises,
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: no rcs jacks
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have had this TV for a month and I have been very happy with my purchase. I especially enjoy the smart features and apps that allow me to go online without changing to another connected device. The picture quality is great, the sound is good. The settings and guide menus could be updated to make them easier to find. The Guide menu takes up a huge part of the screen, maybe make it up less. Connectivity over wifi or Bluetooth is very good. Overall, I have no regrets.
