Very thin tv, very light. Looks great on the wall (see attached picture.) Only wish the tv had separate ports for composite and component since I have a wii and connect cable box through component for normal tv watching and HDMI for surround sound.
Simply put if Samsung would have provided a firmware upgrade that eliminated the video lock by now I would have rated the set five stars, but unfortunately it has not. When the video is not locking the picture is flawless, which leads me to wonder why Samsung has been so slow to resolve the video locking issues with this set.
Excellent LED and great pictures and features. A delightful device.

Great TV fro family and homes for viewing shows and movies. Colrs and definition are beautiful. Sound quality needs some improvement to eliminate some hissing noise.
I just bought this yesterday but I've been researching it and looking at it for quite a while now. I've looked at other TVs but just kept coming back to this and really wanted to find a way to validate getting it to replace my aging 720P Plasma. Black Friday came rolling around and several places had this on sale for a huge amount off the regular price all weekend. I simply couldn't resist any longer.
First, getting it home and out of the box. I don't have a truck or van so had to have it delivered. Getting it out of the box and putting the stand on was very simple. I put it on a side table and basically yanked the HDMI cable out of my old TV to plug into this to see how it looked. I knew it looked good in the stores and really wanted it there, but there is nothing that compares to seeing it in your own home. After about 10 seconds of watching to see what it would look like I got a grin on my face that probably didn't go away for an hour. In it's default setting, it was a little heavy on the red and a small amount too bright. I dropped the back light brightness from 14 to 10, and dropped the color saturation from 58 to 50, then changed the picture from standard to natural, and that's all I had to do. Colors are vibrant but not overstated. Skin tone is natural, and picture looks absolutely beautiful. I could describe the picture to you all I want but there is simply no way to fully comprehend how good this set looks. Perhaps the closest you might come is comparing a color picture in a newspaper to one on high gloss photo paper.
One of the things that makes this set so nice is the extremely high contrast ratio. Now, some stores you go to these days, they will tell you contrast ratio doesn't matter (the ratio between the lightest light, and darkest dark). Well, that's not exactly true. If you get a low end LCD TV that has a contrast ratio of 4000 to 1, it's not going to be near as nice a picture that has a contrast ratio of 50,000 to one, and a 100,000 to one ratio is even better. Depending on your needs, any of those may be acceptable, but when you get into the 4 MILLION to 1 contrast ratio of this TV, you're entering a totally different game. The difference between 4 million to 1 or 5 million to 1 is most likely never going to be even slightly distinguishable for most people, even most experts, but each time you add a zero to the end of that number, you enter a new area in picture quality, and you can easily notice it. The 4 million to 1 contrast ratio of this TV basically means the TV can display the darkest of darks, and the lightest of lights, all in the same scene, and have a smooth graduation from one to the other without any haloing effects. That's one of the things that bugged me about my old plasma but this TV is absolutely perfect! This is also what gives your picture such an incredibly real quality and makes the people look like they could literally crawl out of the TV and into your living room.
Sound - I can't comment on this since I run everything thru a sound system, but when I did try the volume control it has the coolest volume on screen display I've ever seen. It's not that old style bar running across the bottom that looks like it's from a TV from 20 years ago (slightly exagerated but you understand). It's a circular style with the circle getting smaller the lower you turn the volume. As you look thru the menu and other features, it's easy to notice it's lots of the little details like this that really make this TV special... as if the picture wasn't enough!
Anyway, hope this has been helpful. Enjoy... I know I certainly am!!!
Pros: Built-in speakers, Realistic color, Lightweight, extra touches
I spent over an hour looking at all the high def televisions that were available. I just kept coming back to this model, I not only got a great deal I got the best tv on the market. I am totally satisfied, I would highly recommend this tv to anyone who is looking to buy.
