Don't break the Glass Pot!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far the only downsides are that you do really need the Strong button on to make coffee that tastes acceptable and if you break the pot you are screwed because replacements are out of stock until like April or 2017!!! Why would you make something and have no replacements - obviously they are needed a LOT if they are out of stock!

Garbage from top to bottom

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was given this coffeemaker as a gift by our son, to replace our beloved but aging Cuisinart unit. This garbage lasted exactly 2 pots of coffee worth. The display died, did not brew coffee after the second try, noisy, brew basket popped open spewing wet grounds. awful quality. can't return it, had to go buy another maker. Stay away from this thing like the plague. Pity kitchenaid can't get this right. Their mixer is still the top choice though.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Some complained of poor design where coffee is placed and others raved. Will see if over time it holds up. I hope so cause the coffee is really good and I hate buying coffee pots.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This coffee maker works great so far. I am hoping that it will last longer than the last one, it died after about 3 years. When I see KitchenAid I guess I always expect the product to last as long as my mixer.
I like that I can program the machine to make my coffee and have it ready when I first wake up. I also like that you can choose how long the coffee maker will keep your coffee hot and ready for you. I also like that there is a built in water filter. Our water contains a lot of chlorine and the filter seems to remove that which makes for a much tastier cup of coffee.
I would recommend this to a friend!

If I had my choice, I'd rather have the cone-style filters instead of the flat-bottom ones, we think the cone style makes the coffee taste richer... if this pot holds up to daily use, it will be one of the best we've ever had.
