Love the Coffee Maker... Hate the Carafe

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this coffee maker as a replacement for our dependable ole Black & Decker. We have been using the Kitchen Aid for just a short time, and have been very pleased with it. We have always been very gentle with the Carafe and have always hand washed it. Tonight, a chunk of the glass broke away from one side of the pouring shield. I came to the web page to see about getting a replacement carafe, but it is out of stock. After I starting reading reviews, it seems that this is a flaw in the design of the carafe. Now, I have a nearly new, expensive coffee maker and cannot even purchase a replacement carafe. I am NOT a happy camper. All of my appliances, large and small, are Kitchenaid/Whirlpool, but it seems I will now have to go buy another coffee maker. I am very disappointed in what otherwise would be an excellent coffee maker. Because of the carafe, I will not recommend this product to anyone.

worst coffee maker ever

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This coffee maker is the worst product I have purchased. Their filter basket holds nothing. Grounds everywhere and the basket pops open whenever it wishes. What a waste of money. And the menu is not user friendly. So disappointed.

Good coffe maker but....

We love how the coffee filter basket is wire mesh instead of all plastic. The water fill canister is visible, handy and innovative.

When researching replacement water filters, I was informed my old appliance had been recalled. The super helpful customer service associate took my info and immediately sent me a replacement. The new coffee maker looks wonderful on the counter in my new home. It's easy to use and makes great coffee. The product and the customer service are both reasons I will recommend and continue to purchase Kitchenaid products.

Still waiting over 2 months for a replacement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When it works it is fine. We have had the display on 2 of these units fail. It has been over 2 months for an onyx replacement. That say they are out of stock, But they continue to sell them on their website.
