I have all Midland GMRS radios. Mobiles in my truck and UTV, handhelds for hunting and Base Csmp for home and RV. All of them are strong performers especially the base camp.
Even our community had standardized on the Base Camp for emergencies. Amazing little units.

This radio had everything you could need in an emergency and worked great for us in the Missouri River Valley area. We tested it up to a mile and a half and only got a little static. We used this to keep in contact with our base camp while riding ATV's in the forest and it really came in handy. We used it camping for a am/fm radio and used the flashlight with comfortable handle and shoulder strap when taking the dog for a walk. We are happy with this purchase. :)
