I've bought 3 of these DVDs to loan out to my massage therapy clients. It is a great video for people just getting into yoga and stretching their bodies. Each section offers a different area or type of yoga to focus on. Rodney Yee speaks and moves slowly which allows a beginner to learn the new moves and proper techniques. I have been doing yoga for over 20 years and I enjoy this for a nice warm up to start my day.
Of all the yoga videos I have bought over the years, Rodney Yee's are by far the best!! My first buys were back in the late 90s /early 2000. I am now in my 70s and he is still my go-to instructor. I am sending my brother some duplicates that I have. He's a beginner. I have found that Rodney's videos can be used by the beginner to the more advanced. I like the respect he has for the body. His motions are gentle, but firm. He's truly a gifted teacher.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is a great way to start the day. I'm a beginner when it comes to Yoga but these workouts don't make me feel like I don't know what I'm doing. Rodney's narration is so great that I don't really have to watch the video...I can just listen to him. Sometimes I'll peek at the video to make sure I'm doing it right. I have a 3 year old so quiet times in the am with just me and Rodney and his beautiful scenery is a great way to start the day.

Once again, Rodney gives us another quality yoga program to follow. My husband & I both like it. He's considerate, if one is a beginner, is challenging for the more experienced and is thorough. I feel like I've been to a class when I finish this routine.
I have used this DVD for at least 10 years and repurchase because I either lose or scratch it. Rodney Yee began as a principal dancer for the Oakland Ballet and I believe it informs his understanding of the importance of good technique and provides his flowing choreography. His technique is firmly grounded in Iyenger tradition which I believe ensures against injury for beginners but offers an accessible entry into a meaningful mind and body experience. His instruction is mindful and considerate, never condescending. It is a cohesive presentation that has endured. I hope Gaiam will continue to produce it
After attending local yoga classes from a variety of teachers for a few years, I came across this DVD and thought I'd give it a try. Years later (and many other yoga DVDs later), my husband and I always go to this disc. My husband was born with hip dysplasia, went through many surgeries to correct it in his teens and 20s, and was in quite a bit of arthritis pain until he started doing this yoga with me. Sadly, a few weeks ago, the disc actually broke in the machine. Gratefully, I found it is still available on the Gaiam site! Please always continue to offer this disc. It is the best. Rodney's advice and guidance is beyond priceless. We offered copies of this disc to all our friends and family one Christmas, and regularly recommend it to those wanting to try yoga or experiencing back and other aches. Thank you, Rodney, for inspiring us -- often in the dark, early hours before a grueling day! We do indeed try to get to bed a few minutes earlier so we can start our day with yoga. :)

I loved the setting, music, ambiance and of course Rodney Yee's voice and presence. It's so neat to be able to choose which workout to do based on the particular tightness or mood I'm in that day. The only drawback is that first thing in the morning I am the VERY LEAST warmed up and limber I'll be all day so starting off with yoga right after rolling out of bed isn't my best performance. I am going to try this at the end of the day, either when I get home from work, or just prior to bedtime wind-down.

I am so glad I purchased this DVD. I love the 5 unique yoga segments! I have bought other DVDs in the past that are longer, and I always feel guilty when I don't have time to complete it in the morning, or I end up feeling rushed if I try to push through to the end. These 20-25 minute workouts are perfect! They get me mentally and physically prepared to face my day, without consuming too much time.
