Truly a state-of-the-art TV

I consider this TV my best purchase of 2012. Besides being a worthy TV in terms of looks, size, stand stability, picture quality, sound and versatility, it is also a superb portal for viewing online content from a broad variety of services and apps including Youtube, HBOGO, Netflix, etc. The voice search feature is flawless (accurate >90% time for me; has trouble only with proper nouns). The remote keyboard is pretty easy to use although with voice recognition I don't find the need to use it on a daily basis. I can also use my Android smartphone as a remote! I view a lot of content online so this is great. The 3D features works well and the glasses are comfortable, low maintenance. I also am a DISH subscriber which has the ability to seamlessly integrate its programming and DVR content with Google TV. I see enormous potential in Google TV and truly feel that this is the future of television, especially if you're already using Google's services.

The future of television, excellent product

We purchased the LG 55" Goggle TV and we are extrembly happy with the product quality, performace and features. The colors are amazing. It is super easy to setup, all done automatically. The remote control is amazing, easy to use, so cool, just like a computer mouse. We did a lot of research and we find this TV to be the best product in the market. The WiFi is excellent and fast, we browse the internet in the TV faster than our computers, and the quality of the 3D is very good. The audio is not great, but it is the same in all all slim LED TV, so we got the LG Sound Bar system with 5.1 Dolby, the combination is like a high tech movie theater. Strongly recomended. The combination of LG and Goggle finally intro TV's to the future technology.

We purchased this tv on 9/9/12 and was very easy to set up. Seems very easy to use. I think there is more positive than negative. But there are just a few issues as far as whether this tv offers vudu/hulu/viggle. Info says that the tv has the "power of cloud" but, i'm having a hard time with that. When I call LG, i'm sorry but there customer service reps were horrible! (Maybe the time of day had to do with it, i don't know.) At least the 2 i spoke with and both reps said something completely different so Iam not sure how to resolve my issues besides taking it back. The info dvd does not offer much help, So I would reccomend this product with hopes that you never have to call customer service.

I absolutely love this tv! This is my first tv of this kind, having had old tube tvs for many years. I just bought a new house and wanted a new tv to go with it. After shopping around for weeks, this is the model I settled on. It was actually the Smart Google features that sold me. I love Google. The picture is clear and vibrant. I don't have cable, so I stream everything though the wi-fi connection. I am still figuring out all of the features. I would absolutely recommend this tv!

Remote is not real great to use, awkward. Settings are difficult to find.
The 3D is awesome, picture is great. The ability to get online and be wireless is wonderful.
We are a little disappointed because we cannot play videos that are on Facebook because Java is unable to be loaded.
Have no idea how to use voice command because we have not had time to read material.
Overall, love the set, the picture and ability to let our son, who is in a wheelchair and unable to get close to see a computer, see his Facebook page I set up for him. He loves it!

overall, i gave this a 5 stars.
the web brownser give me so much fun. i've been watching TV three times as much as before.
picture look great.
remote is ok but wish to have a function like wakeup button or lock button so it not accidentally change the channel ( which very easy to happen when you put remote on a chair or table and just move the remote and channel would change#

It would be a plus if LG add an analog output # only has one optical output# # most often use for wireless headphone# or support for bluetooth dong so we can use bluetooth headset or speakker # i have to buy two different components to get this function: 1-optical to analog converter, 2-bluetooth transmitter)
