Purchased the printer in Dec.08. Simply followed the instructions for installation and had it up and running. I had several printers and scanners and a copier as well as a fax machine running previously, now only have 1 machine. No wiring nightmare, no having the wrong printer set and printing 20 pages of garbage, what a relief, and I now have more room in the office.
Only draw back I've found is when I want to print double copies of something I used a DotMatrix and carbonless paper. Now I have to print multable copies, but they do print faster.
This machine even runs from a notebook over WiFi. I'm into my second set of toners and have not had any problems. The copier portion of the machine is ideal for everything I need to do, as well as the scanner portion. It has made my office and life much simpler.
I did keep my old 500C, it may be getting on to 30 years of age but it's still working perfectly, and I gave the HP printer/scanner to my son. As for the Dot, it's long gone as well as all the rest of the stuff crouding my office.
