A Great Buy

The picture quality is excellent, especially using an antenna in place of cable or satellite. I am amazed at how great the HD is even with an antenna. The sound is very good too. It is also very easy to connect other devices such as DVD players without much of a problem.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is a great TV in most areas !! Friends are amazed by the quality of the picture and looks of the unit itself !
There is lots of helpful information available in the owners manual and from the online Samsung Internet site !
Two areas which could be better and should have been included are: #1/ The sound quality which is lacking and certainly requires some sort of an added speaker option to make it right. #2/ The remote is in need of more signal power ! Unless you are aiming it directly at and not too far from the TV, it will not do the job !

outstanding picture, good sonnd, would like speakers to be on front of tv, cntrol buttons on side of tv,rather they were on front,

Great HDTV for the money. I have a Samsung home theater system and they are a great combination. Picture is amazing with Verizon FIOS. Could not be happier with my decision to purchase Samsung!

I had previously purchased a Samsung LCD, which blew up some thing on the motherboard. Samsung replaced with this model. I have had it for a while now. I like it. There are some issues with some pixalation under certain conditions. I beleive it has some thing to do with the program feed. I tried animated movies and video games with great success. Some cable HD programs have pixalation.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I did a lot of research on lcd tvs and have narrowed my choices down to samsung and lp. the quality of both being very similar i chose samsung because they are more affordable. i picked the 530 series up and was impressed with the high def picture. color and detail look great. there is only one nagging issue with this tv that made me return it for a newer model. CONTRAST!!!! with a picture as crisp and clear it is so frustrating to see it go to waste as soon as anything dark come onto the screen and just ruin whatever it is you are watching. i tried to tweek settings but just couldnt get it right. 1 week later around christmas time you can now get the 40" 650 series for the same price so im going to swap it out and see if that does any good.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
