Beautiful and functional

We recently remodeled the kitchen in our 16-year old home and replaced a down draft ventilation system (that I hated) with this island canopy and I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE it!! We no longer have lingering cooking smells throughout our house and no more greasy residue everywhere. When our grown children come home, it's a joy to cook ANYTHING knowing it won't stink up the house!!

Superb hood

Last year we installed this island range hood, vented to outside, as part of a complete kitchen renovation of a newly purchased "old" home. Now that we've passed the "one-year mark" with this appliance, I feel qualified to recommend this product wholeheartedly. It has a very powerful suction and can effectively remove all cooking fumes/smells/etc from an island range. In addition, its halogen light has proven extremely useful, particularly when preparing a late-night repast without needing to illuminate the entire kitchen. The clock & timer feature was an unexpected bonus with this range, making it a completely useful unit. I haven't any negative things to say about it yet, after a complete year. Most important, for my wife, its glass & stainless steel canopy presents the most attractive design feature of all of the range hoods that we considered and it was quite reasonably priced compared to alternative units.

Love it!

We installed this range hood in May of 2010 as part of a kit hen/family room remodel of our 25 year old home. It does a fantastic job of venting. It is quite loud especially on the highest setting so i regret not spending the extra $ for the external mounted fan. Still I love what this baby can do!
