Lower energy usage

I bought this dryer because of the energy savings features. I saw an immediate savings and my clothes come out perfectly dried. Not over dried and burnt smelling. The sound-proof drum is a huge plus since you can't hear the metal on jeans clanging around. It also has a check vent light which was important because my ducts were 90% clogged and I didn't know it. The drier saved me from a fire.

Comforter Gets Bunched Up

This dryer is great, except when I put my comforter in to dry it always wads up in a ball. This doesn't allow the whole thing to dry if I don't open up the door and undo the blanket every fifteen minutes or so. Other than that, it's great

Quiet and energy efficient!

We bought this dryer a couple months ago and have been very satisfied with the purchase. It has excellent features and dries out clothes faster than the old one! The only issue we have is, it is in a tight space that is heavily traveled and we often times bump into the buttons. But we are getting more used to that.

Musical Dryer

We recently bought the pair (washer/dryer) of these and are very happy with the job they are doing. Fairly quiet, although they are in the basement, and chimes loud enough to let us know when load is finished. Energy efficient settings are nice, too. Hopefully these will be a lasting duo.

Known issue

The "Check vent" light comes on when trying cycles...ok on timed dry. This was a problem from the start. Other than that it works great

Ate my son's shorts!?

Yes it did eat his shorts. Drawstring caught on something and the shorts are history. Aside from that minor issue the dryer is fantastic!!I'm looking forward to see what it does to my electric bill. Down will be a good thing!!

GREAT DRYER

I gave my whirlpool duet washer and dryer that I loved since 2006 to my son when he moved into his own place. I replaced the set with the new whirlpool duet washer and dryer!!!! My son and I both win!!! Never had a problem with my first set and we moved them 3 times! Hope this new set is as good! So far I love the different features. The load and go on the detergent is a added bonus. Nice not to have to put detergent in every load!!! Love our Whirlpools would NOT buy any other laundry set!!!
