Love it!

This is my second purchase of a Whirlpooll Duet Set. I had my first one for 10 years, but moved and left it with the house I sold. I have always found them to be reliable and effective. I am so happy to have a brand new set again!

Quiet and efficient

After recently moving to a downtown high rise we needed to upgrade our washing machine and we made an excellent choice with this Whirlpool model. It is quiet, energy efficient and does an excellent job of cleaning the clothes. Couldn't be more pleased. The ventless Whirlpool dryer we purchased with it is also exceptional and both have exceeded our expectations.

Outstanding Features

This machine exceeded my expectations. It is extremely quiet and has every washing cycle one would need. The detergent cartridge saves soap and time. I wish there was a cartridge for fabric softener as well.

Marked improvement over traditional agitator washer

After extensive research, I purchased this washer/dryer combination for the extensive number of features and price I was able to get for the pair. While I'm concerned about the longer term issues that some have complained about for some brands of front load washers, including Whirlpool's, so far I'm pleased with the build quality and performance of the 97 models. I especially like the automatic detergent dispenser, with steam clean, and extra hot water options that gets our clothes and towels very clean. The washer, which we have in stacked configuration with the dryer, is much quieter than I expected. Hopefully we continue to have a trouble free experience over the years!

I purchased this washer as a set with the Duet ventless dryer (also a great product), and could not be happier. The washer has all the features one would expect from a high-end product, but the laundry detergent reservoir is the best! I love not having to add detergent for every load - I'm just sorry I did not buy this washer years ago (or at least when it first came on the market). I also love the attention tones used by the washer - much better then the buzzers on other products.

I have had this washing machine for a little over a month and I could not be happier. This truly is the finest washing machine that I have ever owned. Not only is the chrome shadow a beautiful color, but the machine is so easy to understand and performs its job of cleaning clothes excellently.My laundry room is on an upper floor. When I moved here, I bought another brand that was supposed to work well on upper levels. The Whirlpool machine is so superior to the other. It balances every load that I've thrown at it with perfect grace and elegance and it never bumps around. There are no vibrations!I love the way the clothes are sprayed with soapy water in the beginning and then tumbled around. The clothes get completely wet very quickly. You can tell that the clothes are getting cleaned well.I didn't think that I would be terrifically fond of the Load & Go feature, but I truly love it. I had read where people said it saved a lot of time, but I didn't believe it. Believe it! It is so nice to just fill the dispenser every now and then, and not every wash.With dogs in the family, the Allergen cycle has become my favorite. For the first time in years, I feel that the sheets and blankets are actually clean.I could go on and on about this machine, but you will see more of its merits in the other reviews. It is a really, really great machine that is solidly built.
