WORST WASHER EVER MADE !!!!!!!

Lets see where do I start, oh yeah GET THE FIVE YEAR EXTENDED WARRANTY - YOUR GONNA NEED IT !. I bought our washer in sept of 2010. Since then we have had multiple failers of the. seal causing water to leak everywhere !. The main circut board failed once resulting in 2 weeks of down time. currently we are waiting for the service people to come and repair the seal again ( a two to three day wait time ) also there is a plastic piece inside the drum that is broken and ruining all our clothes with these little rips. When the washer does work it sounds like a helicopter is hovering over your house and dont believe the LED DISPLAY about how much time is left- just add an extra hour to the time displayed. And to top it all off you have 20 min of untying the knot you have left when the washer actually stops.

My washer died a month ago and my household was in a tremendous need of clean clothes !!I run a washer at least once a day without a doubt and have for the past 19 years since the twins were born. I loved my duet washer and dryer we purchased when we built our new home 9 years ago. With great results and dependability , it was an automatic that I wanted another whirlpool duet. The lastest model I purchased had even more style and features than my dead washer,... which was the top of the line at the time.I am so pleased with the ease of operation as well as the handsome asthetic chrome details etc. Now all I need is the matching duet dryer that will complete the laundry room!! Hint hint...Hope my dream dryer machine comes through!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Extremely pleased with our purchase. Previous Whirlpool Duet was 14 years old, and had given us no problems. This model far superior. Spin cycle really does a job, so it takes a much shorter time to dry a load. Really like the detergent dispensing cartridge. Very impressed with the vibration control in the spin cycle.

I brought this in May of 2015, the fan fresh feature is great. However I found the washer to be very loud.

I purchased a Duet Steam Front Load Washer with Load & GoT System (model WFW97EDW) to replace a Whirlpool Duet washer purchased in 2003. My old washer finally failed due to drum imbalance causing seal and other internal damage. I figured 12 years of operation wasn't bad, so I bought this new model sight-unseen. It has a lot more features, and for the most part is straight forward to operate, but it's clear that after only having this a short time, I'll be lucky if it lasts half as long as my last Duet washer. Even on fairly light loads, the spin cycle is very load, with clear rubbing and banging sounds. It seems as if the drum is off balance, even if only slightly, but it's enough to indicate it won't last. It does this when I run it empty as well. Even though there are a lot of features, the controls feel "cheap", and I worry they won't last. Overall, I like the machine and features; however, I just don't think I'll get more than a few years of service out of it before it needs significant maintenance. But, having since looked at other Whirlpool and competitor products since I bought this online, I don't see much out there that's better.
