It was great for the first 8 months. Then the ice maker suddenly stopped making ice. After making up to 100 cubes per day, it just stopped. No warranty was purchased.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Enjoyable Appliance

I bought this appliance almost a month ago to replace another GE appliance that had lasted about 25 years and I am surprised with the room it has which allows me to separate the foods better than my old one. I haven't had to remove anything to get to another stored item.

I bought this same Hotpoint Side by Side Model in 2006 and have loved the appliance. I just replaced it today with the new/upgraded Model.
