Really good picture

This is a sharp. What else can I say about the picture. Sure the sound leaves something to be desired, but be real. How many people are going to purchase a freakin' 60" TV and not be thinking of the sound experience as well? The picture is what sold me and yes the sound is a little on the weak side. Hooked a nice sound bar and WOW!!! The remote is not backlit, which is a bummer. Overall, a great buy.

When we first hooked up the TV I was extremely disapointed with the picture, it was blurry and not crisp at all. My son came over and read the manual, press the AV button until you get the picture crisp and clear and you will have a beautiful picture!!

I read a lot of reviews but haven't written one until now. I purchased this TV recently and after hooking it up was very impressed with the video quality and clarity. The speed of the video keeps up with action movies. I love the auto brightness when i have morning sun popping in the windows and the TV auto adjusts. Easy to operate. This unit also recieved the highest ratings in Consumer Reports which is the main reason for my confidence in buying it. I have to go and watch my TV now! Bye!
Cons: remote does not light up at night

After struggling with a 50" Toshiba plasma that just never impressed, this Sharp is outstanding! Super crisp picture, plenty of versatility, looks good at low-res but almost like you could walk into the set and shake actors' hands when viewing in 1080p, or even the 720p U-verse sends down the line. The only complaint is the sound - anemic and tinny, mainly because of the downward-firing speakers. That makes the TV slick looking, but don't buy unless you're OK with using a sound system. We went with a cheap sound bar, and it's a vast improvement.
Pros: picture quality, built-in streaming, powerful and intuitive controls / settings, plenty of inputs, sleak slim stylish, no motion blur with its 240hz system
Cons: sound quality and volume

This TV has an exceptional picture and for the price and that was the driving force behind the purchase...but the sound quality is poor at best. Extremely disappointed with the sound.

For the price, I don't think you can find a 60" LED-LCD TV with a better picture. Picture is crisp and clear, no motion blur when watching sports. Makes me glad I didn't spend extra $$ for a 3D set.
Plenty of inputs. I have a cable box/DVR, Blu-Ray, Wii and soundbar hooked. Built-in WiFi works great. No problem connecting to my home network. Movies stream without any issues.
As others have noted, the only drawback is the sound. The built-in speakers are weak and the sound is "tinny." I hooked up an inexpensive soundbar #spent about $100# and the difference is dramatic.
Pros: great picture, built-in wifi, easy-to-use on-screen menus, lot's of tv for the price
Cons: sound is weak

For the cost it is a pretty good 60" set. I have had it for a few months now and it does need a little adjusting to get the picture just right. The presets aren't to bad. I really like the Netflix integration. XBox and PS3 do pretty good on it. HDMI to a computer wasn't to bad either.
Pros: nice sized screen for the cost, has netflix built in, has wireless built in
Cons: picture needs some adjusting out of the box
