The only thing that is wrong with the refrigerator is that the drawers only open up half way. I don't see any reason for this. It makes it difficult to get some things in and out of the drawers. They should open 3/4 of the way. And I find it the hardest of my stainless appliances to clean.
I've had it for 18 months and it works great. It's quiet. It makes odd noises probably when defrosting but they aren't loud. I don't notice it running. It has a very nice feel to it. The doors are weighted nicely and the drawers open and close very smoothly. Having drawers instead of baskets in the freezer is very nice. The lighting is great, it has lighting from top to bottom, there's a light behind the middle drawer that lights up the drawers. Lightings good in the freezer too. I really like the power freeze option for when I put groceries in especially in the summer. I like the smaller shelves on the bottom of the door they keep smaller bottles from falling over. Nicely made.

This product is great except for the ice maker

Had a problem early with the ice maker which was promptly repaired under warranty. However,since then it doesn't matter which function on the ice maker is selected,ie. cubed or crushed, 90% of the time the only ice that comes from the ice maker is crushed. Only about 10% of the time can you get cubed iced. Other than that, the product is great.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A full featured refrigerator that performs beyond our expectations. We have had nearly every other brand over the years but the Samsung has far past the others in features, performance and looks. We will never buy another brand again!

Excellent product support. The ice maker solenoid stopped working and a tech was set out to fix it on the next day.

The things that matter the most to me work very well on this model.
It has a good even temperature in the refrigerator and freezer. The refrigerator and freezer compartments are well organized to find and access food.

The ice maker and water dispenser are easy to use (this is the most frequent use for the appliance. You can get a tall glass in there no problem and the water stream goes into the glass and not off to the side. With a little practice, you can refill water bottles (the ones with the 1 inch or less opening).
The control panel display is over-complicated (in my opinion), but you don't really need to look at it much or use it much. It will give you refrigerator and freezer setpoint and actual temperature, You can even put your unit into display mode (everything seems to work, but it doesn't actually cool). It is a great feature for the store, but a real pain when you accidentally enable it at home.
Pros: good layout
Cons: control panel overly complicated

We really enjoy all of the features this refrigerator offers. It is a very well designed unit. The illumination inside the unit is nice, as well as the flexibility of the shelves. We gave up a little space inside for the space saving on the outside, but it is well worth it. The old unit it replaced was not a counter depth one, but it was poorly designed and much of the ice maker plumbing took up valuable interior space. So in retrospect we probably didn't lose much capacity switching to the counter depth. The freezer capacity is good and the ice maker works great and doesn't spit cubes on the floor. It's a beautiful refrigerator and it's easy to keep clean.

I have had this refrigerator for 4 years and am happy with it. I had a limited slot to put it in and it fits nicely. Have not had any problems with it other that the ice tray occasionally freezes up. Once I remove it and clean it out, it works fine. The "stainless steel" finish is a little hard to clean and it is not metal, so magnets will not stick to it. Overall, am pleased with it.

This refrigerator has excellent quality. As an example, the stainless steel finish is easy to clean opposed to other appliances we have. The inside of this product is also easy to clean and maintain.
